ABOUT US
The Effe String Quartet was born after the meeting of four young girls in the Turin musical setting, with its members’ intention to propose and gather their individual musical and professional knowledge acquired at national and international level.
Thanks to their remarkable versatility, they offer a large and modern concept of the string quartet which means playing all music genres.
The ensemble is proud to offer a classical, more traditional repertoire, as well as a very vast choice of modern music, raging from Baroque to Contemporary music, from famous movie soundtracks to Pop and Rock music, also covering the Argentine Tangos and standard Jazz.
Previously winners of national and international competitions, including the “Città di Chieri” International Competition, the International Competition “Kalmiuska Brama” of Donetsk (Ukraine), National Competition “Città di Caccamo” and National Competition “Campobello di Licata”, the four musicians mastered under the guidance of musicians such as M° Pagliani, M° Giuranna, M° Canino, M° Filippini, M° S. Lamberto, Trio Altenberg.
After their first meeting, all the members of the quartet completed the Master studies at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory of Turin obtaining the best grades.
Since the beginning the Quartetto Effe have performed all over Italy and abroad, playing in prestigious contexts such as the Reggia of Venaria, Pisani Moretta Palace in Venice, Royal Palace in Monza, Mole Antonelliana in Turin, Palazzina di caccia in Stupinigi, “Triennale di Milano”, “Villa del Balbianello”, “Villa Rusconi-Clerici”…
In 2019 the Effe String Quartet collaborated with NowTv on the occasion of the release of the last season of “Game of Thrones” and with Netflix taking part in the “Connected” docuseries. In 2020 he participated in the film shooting of Davide Ferrario’s new film “The Boys” with Neri Marcorè, Marco Paolini, Giovanni Storti and Giorgio Tirabassi.
Live worldwide, the Quartetto Effe played at the opening ceremony of the Cortina 2021 Alpine Ski World Championships, on stage with Gianna Nannini and Francesco Gabbani.
